Cycling in Tuaran

Last Tuesday, my colleagues and I went for a cycling trip in Tuaran, a quaint little town located in the west coast division of Sabah and home of the delicious Tuaran Mee. (Must try noodle). We are very grateful to Trekfinders Tours, a tour operator in Kota Kinabalu for giving us the chance to explore Tuaran Town and its scenic surroundings. We started around 9.00 am and ended at 12.30 pm. The cycling trip was very pleasant and enjoyable and suitable for those who want a leisure ride like me..hehe ;-) Apart from Leisure ride, Trekfinders are able to to cater to your needs, be it 'Off the Beaten Track' Bike Ride Tour, Sunset Bike Ride Tour, City Bike Ride and etc...Please contact them at www.trekfindertours.net

The Greatest Love

Dearest All,
I have just concluded watching a Korean Drama entitled "The Greatest Love", wowww..wowww..and wowwwe..if you are a big fan of You're Beautiful 2009, please do not miss watching this. You won't be disappointed :-) Here's the synopsis guys :- Ae Jung was once the most popular member of girl band The National Treasure Girls. However 10 years ago the band broke up and she received most of the blame. Despite her warm personality her career has suffered ever since and she now spends her time fighting for air time on variety shows. Dokko Jin is a top movie star at the height of his career. The two meet and become involved in each other’s careers. Yoon Pil Joo is a doctor of oriental medicine who has no interest in the entertainment industry but agrees to make a dating show. Dokko Jin helps get Ae Jung a role on a new reality show called Couple Making. Pil Joo is the bachelor being set up on Couple Making. Both men fall for Ae Jung both off and on the screen.

Hotel Sixty3, Kota Kinabalu

Hmmm...another new hotel in town..called the Sixty3 Hotel. Less a year old but gaining popularity. First thing first, Why such a name ? The answer lies on the hotel premise's lot number 63, thus the name.. nothing more.. ;-). I was at Horizon Hotel when a friend mentioned about Hotel Sixty3 and urged us to check. He gave heaps of compliments on this hotel that made me more determined to pay a visit to this hotel and to confirm whether it was really nice or not. So, my colleagues and I went to inspect and found that this hotel was really unique and very very nice. The rooms are comfortable, clean, very spacious (an advantage) and most of all, it is located in the most popular street in town ie Gaya Street and just a stone's throw away from major banks, Sabah Tourism Board, food eateries etc. Rooms rates are pretty reasonable too. Well, you can check it out..

Manja Hotel @ KK Times Square

Howdy ! I am gonna share pictures of some of the rooms at Manja Hotel in KK Times Square. Went to KK Times Square to meet some friends and I ended up making a quick tour in this hotel. Anyways.. I was made to understand that 34 rooms of 4 different categories are open for business and Bruneians are the major clientele of this hotel. The rooms are clean while the decor are simple, suitable for budget travellers. The room rates starts from RM 100 per room per nite without breakfast and I think it commensurates with the room size as well. The only disadvantage of staying in KK Times Square area is you would have to arrange your own transportation in/out in order for you to move around. Well, see for yourself of the rooms....

After The Darkness by Sidney Sheldon & Tilly Bagshawe

Author Tillie Bagshawe brilliantly recaptured the late superstar author’s magic with Sidney Sheldon’s Mistress of the Game—and now she does it again with Sidney Sheldon’s After the Darkness. A classic tale of love and betrayal, and a struggle for survival in the new world order, this is an enthralling novel with ripped-from-the-headlines immediacy, perfect for the post-Bernie Madoff era in America. A tribute to one of America’s most popular and bestselling authors, Sidney Sheldon’s After the Darkness is a novel that the master himself would have been proud to call his own.

Gaya Centre Hotel, Kota Kinabalu

Huloo, today's 'menu' is Gaya Centre Hotel. Went to inspect this hotel together with my colleagues in September 2011. Gaya Centre Hotel is just 20 minutes from the airport and it’s centrally located right in the heart of the city of Kota Kinabalu. This three star hotel is just within walking distance to banks, government offices and shopping complexes, restaurants and city water front attractions. It’s also adjacent to the Suria Sabah Shopping Mall and Wisma Merdeka Shopping Mall and a stone’s throw away from the popular tourist attraction ‘Gaya Street Sunday Market’

Horizon Hotel Kota Kinabalu

I had a luncheon with a group of Bruneians at The Asian Cafe, Horizon Hotel recently and snapped some pictures of the food and the rooms. This hotel is quite new and its location is very very strategic. Close to banks, shopping malls, shops, restaurants and popular tourist attractions such as Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal, Gaya Street Sunday Market, Kota Kinabalu Handicraft Centre etc. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and reasonably priced. This hotel have 14 floor with 180 rooms overlooking the city and sea view. The uniqueness of each room of this hotel, the wall are decorated with picture of major tourist attraction in Sabah. Now Horizon Hotel is in the midst of obtaining their 4 star rating from the ministry of  Tourism. Have a look at these pictures..
